I think it's way more likely to make a progressive activist such as the Weather Underground commit acts of terror than right wing Americans. Their goal was "to create a revolutionary party to overthrow American imperialism," which seems like the goal of Progressives. Or, eco-terrorists like the Earth Liberation Front or Earth First.

Listen to "My memories of 9/11 a Decade Later S2E30" by ChrisCast with Chris Abraham. ⚓

It’s been a decade since the morning when I was driving home only to discover, via WAMU 88.5FM, that a plane had crashed into a Twin Tower in lower Manhattan.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

- C. S. Lewis

Thought experiment: authoritarianism for public safety is still authoritarianism, especially since "keeping you safe" is a most excellent way for authoritarians to enact authoritarianism. Great episode, actually...

Sweeping new vaccine mandates for 100 million Americans

Question: is having guns and bombs not actually in the riot but in a truck somewhere on Capitol Hill the same as being armed and having bombs during the January 6th riot on the Capitol. I guess we'll find out in court.

Correction: America's response to 9/11 changed U.S. for worse.
